Book on families of children with autism

The book “Families and Autism Spectrum Disorder”, co-edited by Cyrielle Derguy and Emilie Cappe, and published by Dunod, presents in an unprecedented way national research on the challenges faced by families affected by autism, in order to better understand and support them.

This work highlights the social evolution of the role of families of individuals with ASD (parents, couples, siblings, grandparents), their needs and daily adaptation, as well as the partnership between parents and professionals, and the available support and assistance systems. It also gives a voice to professionals and researchers working throughout France, as well as to families and associations.
